More Than Words: Holiness in a Preacher's Life

More Than Words: Holiness in a Preacher's Life — A Call to True Inward Transformation

What makes a preacher truly effective? Is it eloquence? Theological knowledge? Charisma? According to Scripture — and according to Brother Andy — the answer is something far deeper: a holy life.

More Than Words: Holiness in a Preacher's Life is a piercing, pastoral, and profoundly practical book for every man who stands behind a pulpit. With decades of experience in pastoral ministry and preacher training, Brother Andy issues a compassionate but unflinching call to every preacher: your words will only go as far as your life.

This book cuts past the mechanics of sermon preparation and ministry strategy to address the one thing that determines a preacher's lasting usefulness — genuine, Spirit-empowered holiness that flows from true inward transformation and is evidenced in every area of life.

"You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy." — Leviticus 11:45

The Heart of This Book
Too many preachers invest heavily in their craft while neglecting their character. Brother Andy confronts this imbalance head-on, calling preachers to:

• Search their motives — Why do you preach? Who are you really preaching for?
• Evaluate their thoughts and actions — Does your private life match your public ministry?
• Depend on the Holy Spirit — Not on personal ability, reputation, or experience
• Devote themselves to the Word and to prayer — The twin foundations of a holy preacher's life
• Follow in Christ's footsteps — Not just in doctrine, but in character, conduct, and Christlikeness

This is not a theoretical book. It is a mirror held up to the preacher's soul — gentle enough to encourage, honest enough to convict.
