God's Very Good Idea - Colouring and Activity Book

God's Very Good Idea — Colouring and Activity Book

From the very beginning, God's plan was never a small one.

It was not a plan for one tribe, one culture, one language, or one kind of person. From the moment he made human beings in his image — every human being, of every background, every ethnicity, every social standing — God's plan has always been breathtakingly, beautifully, gloriously diverse.

People from every nation, every tongue, every culture, every background — all of them made in his image, all of them deeply loved by him, all of them part of his very good idea.

God's Very Good Idea — Colouring and Activity Book brings this wonderful truth to life for children through 32 pages of colouring, puzzles, mazes, and activities — based on the celebrated storybook of the same name from the Tales That Tell the Truth series. It is a resource that helps children not just hear the truth that every person is valuable to God but to engage with it actively, imaginatively, and personally — in a way that makes it genuinely memorable and genuinely their own.

The Truth Behind the Activities

The message at the heart of this activity book is both simple enough for the youngest child to grasp and profound enough to challenge the deepest assumptions of adults: God made people different on purpose — and every one of those differences is part of his very good idea.

In a world where difference is so often a source of division, fear, and exclusion — where people are valued or devalued on the basis of their ethnicity, their social background, their language, or their culture — the Bible's vision of a God who made and loves every kind of person equally is not just theologically true. It is radically countercultural, deeply needed, and genuinely beautiful.

Children who grow up with this truth embedded in their understanding of God — who know from their earliest years that the diversity of humanity is not a problem to be managed but a gift to be celebrated — are children who are being shaped by a genuinely biblical, genuinely gospel-centred vision of the world and the people in it.

What the Activity Book Contains

Across its 32 carefully designed pages, the activity book takes children through the truth of God's very good idea through a rich variety of engaging formats:

Colouring pages — beautifully illustrated scenes celebrating the diversity of God's image-bearers, inviting children to bring the world of the story to life with their own creativity and colour

Puzzles — carefully designed to reinforce the key truths of the book in a way that engages children's minds and makes those truths genuinely stick

Mazes — fun and engaging activities that hold children's attention while keeping them connected to the story and its central message

Activities — creative exercises that help children process and personally apply the truth that every person — regardless of their background, ethnicity, or social standing — is made in God's image and deeply loved by him

Each activity is thoughtfully connected to the message of the book — so that children are not just doing fun things with pencils and paper but are genuinely engaging with one of the most important and beautiful truths in all of Scripture.

A Vision as Big as the World

The book of Revelation ends with a vision of the new creation — a vast, joyful, gloriously diverse multitude gathered before the throne of God, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, worshipping the Lamb together. It is the ultimate fulfilment of God's very good idea — the completion of a plan that began in a garden and ends in a city, gathering in people from every background and every corner of creation.

God's Very Good Idea — Colouring and Activity Book gives children their first glimpse of that vision — the truth that every person they will ever meet, whatever their background or appearance or language, is made in the image of the same God who made them and loved by the same Jesus who died for them.

That is a truth worth colouring in.
